About Festival
The International Festival "The World of Classical Romance" is a cultural and educational project aimed at popularising the national cultural heritage among a wide audience, developing and strengthening interregional and international cultural ties by introducing participants and listeners to the best examples of chamber-vocal art.
The festival will be held for the first time in St. Petersburg from 27 June to 05 July 2024 and will unite topical socio-cultural themes: the anniversaries of great Russian classics, the cross-cultural Years of Russia and China, the integration of Donbass and new territories into the cultural space of Russia, as well as the Year of the Family.
We invite all residents and guests of the northern capital to a musical journey into the world of classical romance: 11 concerts and 3 masterclasses will take place at the best concert venues in St Petersburg and will bring together a whole constellation of outstanding representatives of contemporary vocal performance. These include People's and Honoured Artists, soloists of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres, laureates of prestigious international competitions, artists from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China and young vocalists.
